According to figures from the Department of Business, Enterprise and Innovation, there are currently about 80,000 professionals working in tech throughout Ireland. The Expert Group on Future Skills Needs has identified significant demand for ICT skills in Ireland – forecasting 8,000 job openings per annum.

Ireland has a booming life sciences industry that employs over 50,000 people directly and exports more than €45 billion annually. There are collaborative clusters in Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, Medical Devices and Diagnostics located throughout the country.
